Fees Policy
HVA executes its program of practices, tournaments, travel, and
uniform purchases in accordance with the budget decided at the
beginning of the season. That budget assumes a specific amount
of players on a team or in the club to share the expenses. It
also cannot prevent unforeseen changes in the economy, which may
require slight alterations to that budget throughout the course
of the season. This very rarely ever occurs, but the possibility
is there.
A fee schedule has been set to accommodate the expenses the
players will incur this season. Note that the HVA in-state expenses are covered by the fee schedule provided
and spans from Nov. through June. Note, All participation in OUT OF
STATE/NATIONAL tourneys are NOT included below. While some
costs, like uniforms and equipment may not add any expense,
there will be some additional costs associated with those
tournaments stemming from travel and lodging as well as tourney
fees.
What's covered by Registration
Fee?
- Uniform: 2 Game Jerseys, 1
Game Short and 3 practice tees. There will be an option to
buy more gear at additional expense (warmups, bags, shoes,
ankle support, etc)
- $35 USA Volleyball
registration fee fr each player
What's covered by monthly fees?
- Practice Gym Rental
- Coaches Pay
- All regular season (Nov-May)
in-state tourney fees
- All Volleyballs, carts,
bags, training aids
- Hotel lodging for all
in-state tourneys where the team stays overnight (San
Antonio/Austin/Dallas). NOTE: This assumes full occupancy in
hotel rooms (usually 4 to a room for players) as well as
coaches rooms (2 to a room).
- Gas for coaches vehicles if
they are driving the players
What's
NOT
covered by monthly fees?
- Transportation to/from
practices or tourneys
- Player Food cost for Lunch
on tourney days (other than complimentary breakfast at
hotels. Parents usually chip in to buy sandwiches for a
given tourney to keep cost down. Otherwise, we will get
sandwiches (like Subway).
- Player Food cost for Dinner
during overnight stays. The night before is usually a visit
to Olive Garden (<$15) and the fast food on the way home
from the tourney (<$10).

Please note that the
above installments do not cover the expenses for THAT MONTH.
Instead, like a car payment, the total cost of the season per
player is equally divided amongst the 9 installments. Sometimes
a player may have a conflict one month limiting their
participation. However, full payment of that month's installment
is still due as its a share of the overall team's expenses.
These fees are due on the dates above. A payment is considered
late if it is not successfully deposited into the Academy’s
account on or by the 5th of each month.
Late payments will incur a
$25 late fee
due with that month’s amount.
For any player account that falls into a "LATE" status, the
player is temporarily suspended from any participation including
practices and tournaments until a payment is successfully
deposited into the Academy’s account.
All payments should be made out to HVA online.
Refunds
As stated in the assumptions section
above, the player’s fees are based on a certain number of players per team to
share the team’s costs. Therefore, if a player leaves the club or is removed
from the club there will be no refund. However, if the player finds another
player who wishes to join the club and assume the same fees that the previous
player had, then the club would refund the appropriate amount to the ex-player.
This will be done within 10 days of receiving funds from the new player. |
