2007-08 Registration

HVA accepts new players throughout the season. In order to register with us, its important that you contact the club. For contact information, click the "Contact us" link from the homepage. Next simply follow the instructions below. Registration is as easy as 1,2,3,4....

Step 1: HVA Membership – 2007/2008 Season

You must first register with our club "HVA" by providing some information on yourself for our roster:

Step 2: Lone Star Region USAV Membership – 2007/2008 Season

HVA operates under the local governing region of USA Volleyball. As such, all players and staff must register each season with the Lone Star USAV Region and let them know that you will be participating with our club. In order to accomplish this  follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to http://www.lsvolleyball.org, and select Registration.
  2. Based on the prompt:
    1. Select “new member” if you did not play for any club in 06/07. 
    2. Select “previously registered online” if you played last season.
  3. Completely fill out the online membership form and select “Continue.”
  4. In the Club Drop Down Menu select “HOUSTON VOLLEYBALL ACADEMY" (or HVA), then enter your Parent’s Name and Email Address then select “Submit.”
  5. Confirm that all of your information is correct then Click the “I agree” button and then confirm. (Note: it is very important to check and make sure that you have selected “HOUSTON VOLLEYBALL ACADEMY" (or HVA) as the club. If you put another club then they will have to release the player and then you will have to register again).
  6. Please print the waiver/code of conduct form.
    1. We would like to have a copy on file for the region office, just in case they need it.
    2. An electronic signature (Parents Drivers Licenses) will have to be entered.  By doing such you have agreed that the electronic signature is yours and agree to the terms of the agreement. 
  7. Please print the USAV medical waver and mail that to: HVA, 14622 Underwood Creek Way, Houston, TX 77062
  8. The USAV registration fee is $30, and is included in your registration fees with the club. The club will then send the Region one check to cover all of the players and coaches. Do NOT send a check in to the region.

Step 3:  HVA Forms:
  • Print, sign and NOTARIZE the HVA Hold Harmless Agreement .
    Then
    mail that to: HVA, 14622 Underwood Creek Way, Houston, TX 77062.
  • If you're playing with HVA for the FIRST TIME: Make a COPY of your birth certificate, and
    Then
    mail that to: HVA, 14622 Underwood Creek Way, Houston, TX 77062.
Step 4: HVA Fees:
  • One time registration fee which pays for the purchase of the player's uniform and practice tees, USAV registration, and their contribution toward team equipment such as balls, ball carts, etc...
  • Monthly player fees cover the regular costs of the team such as gym rental, coaches pay, and Loca/Texas tourney registration fees. These fees are paid on the first of the month and late by the 5th (Nov - Jul)
  • Out of State Tourney fees are paid only by the players attending that tournament. These GROUND FEES cover the cost of the tourney entry, hotel, ground transportation, and coaches airfare. In addition, a team flight will be selected and emailed out. Players are expected to purchase their ticket on that flight and email the director their confirmation number.
  • All fees are to be paid online at the HVA website under the "Fees" Link. The amounts of the fees are listed there. Additionally, our fees policy can be found here.
